Ideas worth confirming

TBC

My personal launchpad for ideas — some stupid, some promising, all worth testing. Data decides the rest.

The Process

Lessons Learned (Stopped)

Stopped

French Tacos

Attempted to launch a french tacos takeaway in Zurich.

Concept: Fast Food

Learnings:

  • renting a local for restaurant is expensive and complex
  • The business has thin margin and will not yield a sufficient salary before having multiple restaurants
  • Hiring / finding a good employee and/or reliable partner is difficult and requires time
Stopped

Decisive

Consulting company helping SMEs take more data-driven decisions.

Concept: Data Consulting

Status: Operated for a year and made 40,000 CHF revenue

Learnings:

  • Track record is the most important factor for clients to hire consultants and the first one is hard to get.
  • Cold emailing can get your email domain to be labelled as junk very fast.
  • Sales is both a technical job as well as a creative one. It requires training and rigour as well as knowing when to be cheeky and quit the framework you carefully crafted.
Stopped

Synca

Reminder app that reaches everyone through the channel that suits them best.

Concept: Multi-Channel Reminders

Status: First vibecoded app — shipped a working web app beta with email integration

Learnings:

  • The idea itself was a "meh" but it forced the first step into vibe coding, which made it worth it.
  • Built real skills from zero: GitHub, Vercel, Supabase, custom domain, Bolt.new, prompting and debugging.
  • Shipped a Brevo email integration end-to-end: templates and a cron job.
  • You don't need a great idea to start — you need to start to get to a great idea.
Yacine Brahmi

About Me

Head of Product aiming to create production grade apps autonomously. I was upskilling in Python, but got saved by AI.

I have a lot of ideas and now only time can stop me from building them. Such an exciting time!

At the core, I believe in moving fast, validating assumptions with real-world data, and dropping what doesn't work. TBC is the incubator that enables me to do exactly that. Plus, it was time to have a Personal Portfolio.

As TBC is a sole proprietarship, it legally requires to contain my name. So "To Be Confirmed" is currently legally "The Brahmi Company". This will be immediately dropped when 1 day, I hopefully create a Ltd. company.
